This is the personal blog site of Jeff Budzinski.

I’m currently a software architect at Yahoo! Inc and have been working in Silicon Valley since the early 90s. I started out programming many moons ago on a single board computer using BASIC and 6502 assembly. After graduating from the University of Maryland, I began my software career in the defense industry coding in Ada. I then moved on to C++-based derivatives trading software on the Sun platform. For the last ten years or so, I have been working on networking and serving software written in C++ for both Linux and Windows Server. As an architect, I don’t get to program as much as I’d like to but still like writing code when I’m inspired to and have the time.

When I’m not at work, I dabble in motorsports photography (see my photography blog at PhotoMarch). I also love to go bicycling and occasionally play ice hockey. My very latest addiction is car racing and I’ve recently completed (nearly) the conversion of a 1999 Mazda Miata into a race car for SCCA’s Spec Miata class.
